Announcement // Millerntor Gallery #5: International Festival of Urban Arts, Music and Culture

, which aims to obscure what we consider ‘strange’ or ‘unknown’ and bring together differing artistic viewpoints in the unconventional setting of a football stadium.

This year’s timetable shows promise of an exciting and diverse festival to come. From musical performances by the likes of Rudy (an Electro-Pop band from Hamburg), Nesthocker (a German rap group), and East African Reggae/Hip-Hop group Bebe Cool to artist talks with Elizabeth Markevitch and live tattoo sessions by Caro Wilson, the festival offers a wide variety of activities and events for people both in the art world and out.

Placed within the context of the Millerntor Stadium, the goal of the festival is to allow for different perspectives and approaches to come together for 4 days of intercultural collaboration and exchange.

Whether it be film, culture, sport, music or art, Millerntor Gallery has something for everyone. Regular day-passes are 5 euros, reduced tickets are 2 euros, a 4-day pass is 12 euros, children under 12 years of age can attend for free, and all proceeds from the festival will go to Viva con Agua e.V. in order to improve the worldwide water and sanitary supply. The festival will run from Thursday, July 2nd, to Sunday, July 5th, so be sure to head out to Hamburg for a day (or a full 4 days) of fun!
